Animal gastritis – dietetic advice
First of all, it should be noted that treatment of chronic, but also acute gastritis belongs to the hands of a veterinarian who provides treatment based on rigorous examination.
But what can we do extra for our pet?
If we know that the animal zjedlo something that could cause a dietary defect, acute gastritis, it is advisable to consistently adhere to a one-day diet where we serve only liquids. What follows? Diet consisting of a nonirritant diet and in the administration of small doses of food (doses gradually increasing) the dietary regimen should take approximately 5 days. For this time you get to the original amount of diet.
The food must be well crushed and cooked, preferably not dry.
If diarrhea or sparse stools persist, we may add Nature + DIGESTIVE CARE 100g powder or Smecta or activated charcoal to the diet.
Very careful you must be in the case of puppies/kittens and seniornych animals. In these cases, there may be a dehydration that can very much complicate the overall situation. If vomiting or diarrhoea úporná, accompanied by other symptoms, or lasts longer than 1-2 days, seek an urgent veterinarian!
